      Return Student Technology

      • RETURN STUDENT TECHNOLOGY 

        All technology issued to students for their use during the 2020-2021 school year must be returned before their last day, Friday, June 4, this includes Student Laptops (9th-12th grade), Chromebooks (3rd-8th grade), and iPads (4K-2nd grade), as well as bags/cases, powercables, and adapters. All students and families must return technology at this time, including students who will be engaged in the Summer Extravaganza. Devices must be accounted for, updated and serviced and will be reissued to students for summer learning, as necessary. Please be reminded of the financial implication of not returning a district-owned device (included below). Fees will be assessed at the end of the day on Friday, June 4, for any equipment not returned. 

        Hotspots for families who requested and met the financial criteria for a hotspot for internet access must return their Hotspot by Friday, June 4. Verizon and AT&T Hotspot Fees are as follows: Total Hotspot Device: $150; Block: $5; Cord: $5.

        If you are a parent or community member and have a concern related to an Orangeburg County school, please begin by contacting the school principal.  If the issue cannot be resolved, your concern will be forwarded to the district director in the area your concern pertains. Should further assistance with resolving your concern be needed, our District Ombudsman is here to help! 

      Social Emotional and Mental Health Offerings

        Our Student Services Department offers support on a wide range of issues impacting young people, as well as adults. We invite you to review our library of mental health and social emotional support topics.         Seal of Biliteracy

        This is the first year Orangeburg County School District has participated in the SC Seal of Biliteracy program. Nine seniors received Silver and Bronze SC Seal of Biliteracy Awards.

      • RURAL DISTRICT UNDERGRADUATE LOAN FORGIVENESS PROGRAM

        The SC Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement’s Undergraduate Loan Forgiveness Program is available to all classroom teachers in districts eligible to participate in the Rural Teacher Recruitment and Retention Initiative (RRI).  Orangeburg County School District is a 2020-21 participant in this initiative that gives classroom teachers the opportunity to apply for up to $5,000 to help pay down undergraduate loan balances.

      • 4K ENROLLMENT IS OPEN

        Orangeburg County Public School District offers 4K to qualifying students as a Child Early Reading and Development Education Program (CERDEP) partner. To apply for 4K, you may pick up a registration packet at your local Primary or Elementary School, or submit the application online using the information on our 4K webpage

        The link for enrollment in Orangeburg Online, OCSD's full-time virtual learning option, is available now. New and returning Orangeburg Online students must enroll each semester.
