  • Congratulations to our MESAS Winners!

Students in grades 4 and 5 at Lockett Elementary participated in the SC Academy of Sciences MESAS contest.  Each year the SC Academy of Sciences, an organization that promotes the advancement and constructive use of science in SC, sponsors a MESAS (Middle and Elementary School Academy of Science) contest for students in Grades 4 through 8.   The competitive contest focuses on science questions prepared with respect to our state's science standards. Students utilize reference resources of all types to complete the contest. Lockett is excited to announce our school winners, Eli Hayden and Easton Hayden (sons of Dr. Kelly and Eric Hayden), and our state winner, Mia Vartenisian (daughter of Amy and Drew Vartenisian).
