Congratulations to JoyAnna Williams, Darrius Jenkins, Melvin Hart and David Barden for winning 1st place in the South Carolina State University-Business Case Competition. The students presented an original business and marketing plan for a solar phone battery to a panel of judges virtually on March 28th. The students won $500 and a pizza party provided by SCSU. We are so proud of our Future Trojan Entrepreneurs!

HKT's own senior class member, Tacarra Inabinet has been selected as one of this year's Distinguished Youth by the Junior Service League of Orangeburg. Students are selected for this award based on having outstanding academic achievement as well as having displayed leadership and service to their communities. Tacarra has met and surpassed these requirements. Please join us in congratulating her!
Congratulations to Alana Stroman and Peighton Runkel, both 10th grade students at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler High School, on making the South Carolina Band Director's Association's 2022 REGION 4 HONOR BAND!! Alana and Peighton will represent HunterKinard-Tyler High School in the 2022 Region 4 Honor Band Clinic at Charleston Southern University.

FACILITY & DEMOGRAPHY STUDY INPUT
OCSD's Administration wrapped up on November 18 a series of Community Input Meetings to share information on its school facilities and demographics. Please provide your input and share your ideas on making the best use of our resources to ensure high-quality teaching and learning environments for our students, teachers, staff and community. The meetings were live-streamed, recorded and are available.
