    It is that time – time to prepare for iTeams Xtreme!
    The South Carolina Governor’s School for Science and Mathematics (SCGSSM) will host iTeams Xtreme, a four-day summer camp that focuses on robotics and game design. The camp dates are June 26 – June 29, 2023, and Robert E. Howard Middle School will host the event. The camp will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. There are 60 slots available.     Important points of information:
    · The camp is for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th graders.
    · Potential participants should have at least a “B” average in science and math courses since this camp is STEM-focused.
    · Parents must supply transportation for their campers; the district will not supply transportation for participants.
    · Breakfast and lunch will be served, but campers are welcome to bring their own meals.
    · There is no cost to the parents for students to participate.
    · The last day to apply is May 15, 2023.
    What Can Students Expect at the iTEAMS Xtreme Camp?
    · Awesome experiences, hands-on projects, and competitions using robots or game design software
    · A four-day immersion into the world of robotics or 2D/3D game design
    · Interactions with other students who share a passion for technology

    Orangeburg County Public School District offers 4K to qualifying students as a Child Early Reading and Development Education Program (CERDEP) partner. To apply for 4K, you may pick up a registration packet at the Primary or Elementary School in your attendance zone, or download the application using the information on our 4K webpage.

    Each middle and high school student of Orangeburg County School District must have a see-through bookbag as mandated by the Superintendent. Students are not allowed to carry cloth bookbags around schools. Please consider purchasing a see-through bookbag for your student if he/she is in need.

    We are pleased you have decided to enroll your child in an Orangeburg County School District school. We are, once again, offering online student registration and are pleased to be able to continue this time-saving service for families. Families who prefer, may obtain a paper registration packet from the school.
