Congratulations to our Odyssey of the Mind Winners!
    Odyssey of the Mind Winners

Odyssey of the Mind is a creative problem-solving competition for students and community groups of all ages.Through this competition, Odyssey of the Mind promotes creativity by challenging teams to solve divergent problems, that is, those with more than one solution. By working in teams, participants learn teamwork, the appreciation and understanding of others, and that a group is a more powerful thinking force than an individual.
This year, a team of students from Clark Middle School selected a problem sponsored by Arm and Hammer in which they used the company’s Baking Soda to create works of art, including one that grows or appears to grow, as they tell a story about a magic “beanstalk” and teach a Life Lesson.
We would like to congratulate the following students on placing 1st in Division 2 for SC for their creative approach to Problem #3: Omer and the Beanstalk in the Odyssey of the Mind Virtual competition.  The team placed 4th among other teams that competed in the same category nationally: Patrick Hubbard, Bianca Moncrieffe, Madison Simpson, Alimatou Ndiaye, Tra’Niya Wannamaker, and Morgan Haynes.  Their faculty advisors are Ms. Tamu Niilampti and Mr. Torian Nunn.  The team’s success in their Division has qualified them to compete in the 2021 Odyssey of the Mind World Finals and they will do so virtually.
The William J. Clark family congratulates our awesome, creative Greyhounds!
