  • Give Blood Wednesday, 22 Sep...

Our first blood drive of 2021 will be held  Wednesday, 22 Sep.  Get your permission slips ASAP.

You must get your permission slips signed by a parent if you are not yet 18. The hospital will take donors who are 16, with parent permission. Bring your photo ID; min weight 110 pounds. Eat and drink plenty of fluids on day of donation. No HIV positive, hepatitus, not currently on antibiotics or blood thinners.  No tattoos or piercings within last year (hepatitus risk). We are asking that anyone who has had the Corona Virus or been exposed to someone with the Corona Virus wait 28 days before donating.  Anyone who has received the Corona Virus vaccine must wait 2 weeks after their second vaccination.  We are still requiring anyone entering the bus to have a face mask on.

Give so others may live. We will signoff community service hours for all participants.  We will sign off community service hours for students who donate water, soft drinks, sweet/salty snacks for donors recovering in the library waiting area.  Bring donations to ROTC the week prior.

  • Coronavirus contact

Parents and Guardians: This week, we have encountered circumstances in which students are coming to school, despite their close contact to a parent, guardian or other individual living in their home who has tested positive for coronavirus.
A Household Contact is defined by DHEC as someone who lives in the same household as a known case. Household Contacts are required to quarantine, unless experiencing no symptoms and voluntary proof is provided of full-vaccination status or a diagnosis within the last 90 days of coronavirus.
Parents and guardians must notify their school’s administrator or school nurse right away should anyone in their home test positive for coronavirus.
No student or staff member should report to school or work when there is an individual within their home who is COVID-19 positive, but they should immediately notify their school or supervisor.
