Ms. Rosemary Keller


 I am Ms. Keller, and here are somethings that I want to share with you.  First, teaching is an occuaption that I enjoy; this is my 42nd year.  For the past four years, I have taught English II Honors and English II College Prep.  I teach because I want people to know the things that I know, and I want them to develop a desire to continuously seek knowledge, especially about anything that interest them.  I am a believer in the quote that " learning never stops," regardless of one's age.  Therefore, I "push" until I think that I have my students' best work.  Second, I love God.  I believe that if I put God first, "I can do all things, and that all things work together for good for those who love the Lord." Third, I love my family.  I call my family Keller Nation because there are so many of us.  We love and support each other despite our personal flaws.  Finally, I cherish friendships because I know that the relationships that I have with people make me rich, not material things.  Oh, my hobbies are reading, traveling, and working in my yard.

  • English II Course Overview

    English II College Prep and English II Honors develop students' inquiry, listening, reading, speaking, and writing skills. At the end of this course, students are required to pass the EOCEP with a score of 70 or higher.  Reading materials for this class includes a variety of literary genres such as poems, short stories, speeches, plays, and novels, as well as a variety of informational texts.  The course includes building students' vocabulary skills with the use of context clues, word analysis, and ACT/SAT vocabulary lists.  Students will use and recognize literary terms and techniques.  The courses also focus on the writing process, which includes expository, narrative, and persuasive writing.
