Board Recognitions

Board Recognition Criteria

The Orangeburg County Board’s agenda has a placeholder for celebrating and recognizing teachers, students, and staff who have received state and national level awards, or been honored at the state or national level, including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, as well as gold, silver, and bronze recipients. We also recognize winners of county-level athletic and academic championships, and awards of merit.

Our School Board also recognizes community partners, businesses and organizations donating $5,000 or more to an OCSD school, or who have demonstrated outstanding service over the course of time to administrators, teachers or students.

Nominations/Nominees meeting the Board Recognition criteria should first be submitted to the school’s Principal and the Communications Liaison (CL) for school-level recognition, including but not limited to recognition on the school’s website. Principals (and Directors) may submit requests for School Board Recognition to their respective level Director or Supervisor. Once the recognition date is scheduled, the School Board Recognition Form should be completed by the school/nominator and submitted to the Communications Office on or before the close of business, a week ahead of the Tuesday recognition. Please send to public.relations@ocsdsc.org.
