Marcus Livingston Head Football Coach, Edisto High School
ORANGEBURG, S.C. – Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) is thrilled to announce Marcus Livingston as the new head football coach at Edisto High School.
An Orangeburg native, Livingston has a great understanding of South Carolina's unique sporting landscape. His academic and professional history shows a steadfast dedication to student athletics. His educational credentials include an Associate's degree in Science from Spartanburg Methodist College and a Certificate in Physical Therapy from Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College.
Livingston has made a successful career in athletics, fostering a reputation as an impactful coach and team player. He served as the Head Football, Girl's Basketball, and Track Coach at Estill High School (EHS) from 2016 to the present. There he managed daily operations and implemented game strategy. Before working at EHS, Livingston served as the Assistant Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler (HKT) High School from 2014-2016.
Livingston, as the quarterback coach at Hunter-Kinard-Tyler, won the State Championship in 2014-2015. This year, his remarkable achievements were acknowledged as he was named the Region 7, 1-A Coach of the Year and received the title of athletic director of the year. Additionally, he led the Estill football program to become the Region Champions, a feat that had not been accomplished since 1995.
Also, his tenure as Edisto's Offensive Coordinator for the QB and WR from 2006-2014 underscores his familiarity with the school's athletic program and his readiness to assume the head coach position. His recent roles as Media Assistant, Transportation Director, and Athletics Director have further prepared him to support Edisto's broad range of operations and athletic programs.
