St. James-Gaillard Elementary School Shines at the 2023 Jr. Beta Club National Convention
ORANGEBURG, S.C. - St. James-Gaillard Elementary School showcased its talent and commitment to service at the 2023 Jr. Beta Club National Convention. The school's achievements in the Beta Serves Project, a national service project allowing Beta to attend the National Convention, have brought much pride to St. James-Gaillard Elementary School, Orangeburg County School District, and the community.
In the Performing Arts category, St. James-Gaillard Elementary School's talented dancers, Kimora Jackson and Ivyonna Jamison, under the advisory of Ms. Lee Vinnie Small, represented the school with grace and passion. Their dedication and hard work paid off, securing an impressive 3rd-place finish.
St. James-Gaillard Elementary School exemplified the Beta Club's motto, "Let Us Lead by Serving Others," by participating in the Beta service project. The school's Beta Serves Donation Drive was successful, led by student Avaeh Pratt and her mom, Ms. Jessica Pratt. St. James-Gillard Elementary School placed 5th overall among the top schools in their division. This achievement earned the school a well-deserved plaque, and the Beta Serves Louisville pen.
The success of St. James-Gaillard Elementary School's Jr. Beta Club would not have been possible without the dedication and guidance of the Jr. Beta Club Sponsors: Ms. Frances Clayton, Ms. Marianne Bowers, and Ms. Veronica Davis. Their support and commitment to the students were crucial to their accomplishments at the convention.
