FCCLA Competition

The Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) is a nonprofit national career and technical student organization for young men and women in Family and Consumer Science education in public and private schools, grades 6-12.

Recently, several students of the FCCLA at The Technology Center competed against other career centers in the State’s virtual FCCLA competition. By offering programs, contests, and scholarships for members, FCCLA helps develop specific lifetime skills in character development, creative and critical thinking, interpersonal communication, practical knowledge, and prepares students to be college-and career-ready.

We would like to congratulate the following students for scoring a 100% Gold Standard: Imani Brown, La’niya Davis, and Morgan Green.

We would also like to congratulate Tasheea Franklin for scoring a 98% Gold Standard in the “Entrepreneurship” category, and Shekinah Washington for scoring a 90% Gold Standard in the “Focus on Children” category.

Each of these students’ performance in the state-level competition guarantees their eligibility to participate on the nationally this summer. Congratulations to our students, as well as their FCCLA advisors Mrs. Teresa Brown and Dr. Carolyn Gaillard on their outstanding achievement. We look forward to following your success.
