Felicia Williams principal of LMMS

Orangeburg County School District is proud to announce that Dr. Felisha Williams, Principal of Lake Marion Middle School, has been selected as one of 19 school leaders for the South Carolina School Leadership Executive Institute (SLEI). The new SLEI cohort, which includes a diverse group of veteran principals from across the state, officially began its journey on Friday, September 20th.

SLEI, in partnership with the Truist Leadership Institute, provides school leaders with advanced training in leadership competencies necessary to foster innovation and success in their schools. The cohort members participated in team-building activities, analyzed SC Leadership Competencies, and met with SC State Superintendent Ellen Weaver during their opening session.

Representing a broad range of school districts, including Orangeburg, the cohort members bring varied experiences and perspectives to the program. Dr. Gerard Edwards, SLEI facilitator, expressed confidence in the cohort’s ability to engage in rigorous activities and build lasting connections that will benefit their leadership growth.

Dr. Felisha Williams will bring her expertise to this prestigious program, contributing to her continued efforts in driving academic success and leadership at Lake Marion Middle School.
