Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) proudly announces that Keith L. Parks, Athletic Director at North High School, has been recognized by the National Interscholastic Athletic Administrators Association (NIAAA) as a Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA)—a prestigious honor that distinguishes him among the nation's top leaders in athletic administration.
“Keith Parks is a shining example of leadership, integrity, and service to students,” said Dr. Shawn D. Foster, Superintendent of Orangeburg County School District. “His unwavering dedication to advancing student athletics, especially at the school and community level, reflects our district’s commitment to excellence. We are incredibly proud of this accomplishment and the national recognition it brings to North High School and OCSD.”
To earn this national distinction, Mr. Parks completed a rigorous certification process that included an extensive review of his educational background, professional experience, completion of NIAAA Leadership Training Courses, and documented contributions to the field of interscholastic athletics. The process culminated with a comprehensive written or oral presentation project designed to demonstrate real-world application of leadership and management skills in athletic administration.
"Keith Parks continues to lead with professionalism, passion, and purpose," said Hayward R. Jean, OCSD Director of Student Services. Likewise, Dr. Liana Calloway, OCSD’s Assistant Superintendent of Student Services, said, "We are proud of Coach Parks! His leadership in athletics reinforces the mission of OCSD, which is to help students discover and develop their person, purpose, and platform."
The Certified Master Athletic Administrator designation is among the highest certifications offered by the NIAAA and reflects Mr. Parks’ commitment to ongoing professional development and ethical leadership.
“This recognition is both humbling and energizing,” said Keith L. Parks, Athletic Director at North High School. “It affirms the work we’re doing to build strong, inclusive, and competitive athletic programs that shape character and build community. I am thankful for the support of North High School and the district, and I remain committed to giving our student-athletes the best foundation for success.”
