Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) proudly announces its 2025 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year finalists. These distinguished leaders have been selected for their exceptional commitment to student achievement, school culture, instructional excellence, and service to the broader community.
The OCSD Principal of the Year (POY) award recognizes school leaders who provide students with optimal learning opportunities, demonstrate excellent leadership skills, serve with integrity, and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Eligible principals must have served at least three years in their current school and be in good professional standing as determined by the Office of Human Resources and the Office of Curriculum & Instruction.
Similarly, the OCSD Assistant Principal of the Year (APOY) award honors assistant principals who support the vision of their principal while fostering student success, maintaining a strong school climate, and demonstrating leadership that elevates staff and student performance. To qualify, nominees must have served in their role for at least three years and be in good standing with OCSD.

The district will announce the 2025 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year recipients at an upcoming recognition ceremony.
