Orangeburg County School District (OCSD) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Devin L. Robinson as the new Assistant Principal of Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School. A seasoned educator and dynamic leader, Dr. Robinson brings over two decades of experience in instructional leadership, student support services, and community engagement.

Dr. Robinson most recently served as Assistant Principal at Hand Middle School in Columbia, where he led innovative strategies that improved academic performance and school climate, contributing to the school's 2024 designation as a "School to Watch." His collaborative leadership helped increase access to inclusive instruction and fostered strong partnerships with local mental health providers and higher education institutions.

"I am honored to return to Orangeburg in service to the community that shaped me," said Dr. Robinson. "As a proud graduate of South Carolina State University, this opportunity is both professional and personal. I look forward to working with the dedicated team at Orangeburg- Wilkinson to inspire excellence and create an environment where every scholar can thrive."

Orangeburg-Wilkinson High School Principal Dr. Patricia Moultrie-Goldsmith expressed enthusiasm about Robinson’s appointment, stating, “Dr. Robinson brings the right balance of instructional leadership and student-centered values. His vision, passion, and proven ability to build meaningful relationships will help elevate our school’s continued progress.”

Superintendent Dr. Shawn D. Foster echoed the sentiment, adding, “Dr. Robinson is a transformational leader whose experience aligns with our district’s mission to empower students for success in college, careers, and life. We are thrilled to welcome him to the OWHS administrative team and back to the Orangeburg community.”

Dr. Robinson holds a Doctorate in Educational Administration and an Education Specialist degree in Leadership and Supervision from South Carolina State University, as well as a Master’s in Music Education from the University of South Carolina.
