FCCLA students take top honors at national competition

Orangeburg County School District is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of its students at the Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) competitions, where they brought home multiple medals and honors for their exceptional skills and dedication.

FCCLA is a national organization that empowers students to become leaders in families, careers, and communities while building skills in areas like leadership, teamwork, and real-world problem solving. Each year, students compete at state and national levels, showcasing their talents and competing against peers from across the country.

OCSD students represented the district with excellence:

•       Zumya Tyler Career Investigation, Silver Medal

•       Jackson Mintz Knife Skills, Silver Medal

•       Jaquan Hughes Teaching Strategies, Gold Medal

•       Alexandria & Taylor Brown, Mia Williams National Programs in Action, Gold Medal

These students demonstrated not only technical skills but also leadership, creativity, and a commitment to excellence that reflects the values of both FCCLA and the Orangeburg County School District.

Superintendent Dr. Shawn D. Foster expressed his pride: “Our students continue to inspire us with their talent, dedication, and drive. Seeing them excel at FCCLA competitions is a reminder that when we invest in our young people, they rise to every challenge and make our community proud.

Congratulations to each of these remarkable students. Your hard work is paying off, and we can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!”

The Orangeburg County School District applauds these students for their achievements and celebrates their role as leaders of today and tomorrow. Their success at FCCLA is a testament to the district’s commitment to preparing students for bright futures.
